Challenge your team to have a go !
Improve your team's performance....
Papanui High, St Andrews, Rangi Ruru, Rangiora High and Burnside have used us to work with their prefects, peer support, leadership programs and sports squad training. It's a good combination. Activity Hanmer deliver the activities you want whilst leaving you time to deliver the rest of the programme.
The two team building activities which are designed for this age group are the Hanmer Springs Challenge and the Forest Challenge. These can be combined with other activities too.
Hanmer Springs Challenge
This is a complex activity and involves a range of outdoor tasks. It is an ideal vehicle for getting groups of students together, breaking down barriers, highlighting strengths, discovering hidden talents, communicating effectively and at the same time have great fun. Normally lasts 2.5 hrs and we can work with large numbers if needed but break the students down into smaller groups to compete against each other which gives the challenge an extra edge.
It involves completing a complex task involving elements of biking, orienteering and climbing. Students need to delegate effectively, plan and have great teamwork.
Cost per head: $26
Minimum Fee per session: by arrangement
Conservation/Weedbusting
This activity works extremely well with this age group and is a great way to put back into the environment. If you do both of the above activities with us we would do this as a free option. It can last for as long as you want depending on your program.
The Forest Challenge - Orienteering
The students are broken down into teams of 3 and are given 1.5 hrs to complete a large Score Orienteering course. Markers are worth different values and time penalties are given out for teams that are late. It demands a lot of cunning, initiative and teamwork as those small teams must stay together at all times. The 5 colour Orienteering Map is awesome and the event is set in the stunning Hanmer Heritage Forest.
Normally lasts 2.5 hrs all up.
$11 per studentThe Forest Challenge is usually done first, followed by Hanmer Springs Challenge if you have the time and budget? Preferably not on the same day.
