Sports Team Development Training
Recommended by the Canterbury Tactix netball squad.

Plan a day or weekend in Hanmer Springs to develop your team, either pre or end of season. Contact us to discuss your aspirations and we can work with you on a programme to suit your budget. The two team building activities which are designed for team development are Mission Impossible and the Forest Challenge. These can be combined with other activities too.

Mission Impossible
This is a complex activity and involves a range of outdoor tasks. It is an ideal vehicle for getting teams to work together, breaking down barriers, highlighting strengths, discovering hidden talents, communicating effectively and at the same time have great fun. Normally lasts 2- 2.5 hrs and we can work with large numbers if needed but break the team members down into smaller groups to compete against each other which gives the challenge an extra edge.
It involves completing a complex task involving elements of biking, orienteering and climbing. Teams are given the opportunity to develop leadership, delegation, planning and communication skills. (More Information)
Forest Challenge
Teams are broken down into smaller groups of 2 or 3 and are given 1.5 hrs to complete a large Score Orienteering course. Markers are worth different values and time penalties are given out for teams that are late. It demands a lot of cunning, initiative and teamwork as those small teams must stay together at all times. The 5 colour Orienteering Map is awesome and the event is set in the stunning Hanmer Heritage Forest. (More Information).
Conservation/Weedbusting
This activity works extremely well with all age groups and gives your team the opportunity to put back into the environment. Take part in both of our team activities and we can organise this at no extra cost. It can last for as long as you want depending on your program.

" I would recommend Activity Hanmer to any sports teams looking for the opportunity to challenge their athletes outside of their usual sporting environment. The combination of physical and mental challenge and the teams natural instinct for competition resulted in a highly enjoyable and successful training camp."Helen Mahon Stroud, Head coach, Mercury Tactix.
